Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Do you have a calm, nurturing approach and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils?

We are currently seeking dedicated SEND Classroom Assistants to join a range of primary schools across Leeds, supporting pupils from EYFS to KS2 with a variety of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

?? The Role:
  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups

  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement strategies

  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

  • Use de-escalation techniques when required

  • Foster engagement and build trust with pupils

?? Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or adults with SEND is highly desirable

  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and use positive behaviour management strategies

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
