Ready to make a positive impact on pupils' lives across Leeds?About the Role:Randstad Education is seeking passionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team covering primary schools in the LS9 area of Leeds. This role offers flexible work opportunities and the chance to gain experience in diverse school environments while making a real difference to pupils' lives. You will work on an ad-hoc basis, providing invaluable support to children with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN).Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality, one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Supporting students with their emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Communicating effectively with class teachers, support staff, and parents/carers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress.
  • Adapting quickly to different school environments and working styles.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in UK schools.
  • A strong understanding of various SEN needs and appropriate support strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, able to respond to changing demands.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (e.g., Team Teach).
  • Experience supporting specific SEN needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
  • Experience working with pupils across a range of age groups.
