This role offers flexible work opportunities and the chance to gain experience in diverse school environments while making a real difference to pupils' lives. You will work on an ad-hoc basis, providing invaluable support to children with a wide range of special educational needs (SEN).Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality, one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
- Supporting students with their emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Communicating effectively with class teachers, support staff, and parents/carers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress.
- Adapting quickly to different school environments and working styles.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in UK schools.
- A strong understanding of various SEN needs and appropriate support strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, able to respond to changing demands.
Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (e.g., Team Teach).
- Experience supporting specific SEN needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
- Experience working with pupils across a range of age groups.
