We are currently looking for a SEND support assistant to support a child in KS2. It is to commence after the May half term holidays.

As an experienced and aspiring SEND Support Assistant/LSA you will support a child in key stage 2 with autism. This is a lovely high functioning pupil who needs extra support until the end of the academic year. You will also be expected to support other pupils within KS2 when needed.

This school in North Leeds provides a safe learning environment for pupils living with autism (ASD/ASC). The school is looking for a focused and skilled SEND Support Assistant to provide a high standard of support for children in KS2.

* The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with SEND, particularly autism (ASD/ASC).* Candidates with experience working with children, SEND and/or the care industry will also be considered.* A can do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom* The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure* The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members

* This particular SEND support assistant role will involve working 1to1 with a child who has autism* Assessing and accommodating individual learning needs of the pupil* Reporting on individual pupils progress* Encouraging the social and emotional development of the pupil
