Your Role Will Involve:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of needs, such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

  • Working closely with class teachers and the school SENCO to effectively implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Using your patience, creativity, and proven behaviour management skills to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

  • Adapting activities to ensure pupils can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

  • Building trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model for the children you support.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school or specialist SEN setting.

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential if you have significant experience.

  • A confident and resilient nature, with the ability to adapt quickly to new school environments.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for a new one.

  • The right to work in the UK.
