SEN Behaviour Support
Salary: £19,000 - £21,500 per annum
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
The Role:
Veritas Education are supporting an SEN school with multiple permanent vacancies, who are recruiting for Special Needs behaviour support staff. The open positions are across both Primary and Secondary age groups, supporting a range of learnings with special educational needs and challenging behaviours.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting a range of learning needs, including Autism, Aspergers, Down Syndrome and ADHD.
- Confident in supporting challenging behaviour, Social/Emotional/Mental Health needs and learners who go into crisis. (Veritas Education can provide additional Team Teach Behaviour Management Training - Level 2)
- Comfortable working across the classroom to support the teaching and learning, but also on a 1:1 basis with specific students needing that extra support and intervention.
- Knowledge and understanding around special educational needs, entry level foundation learning and autism awareness.
- The ideal candidate is committed, caring, and passionate to providing a structured, safe and nurturing learning environment, where students needs are catered for and the learners support is focused on independent growth.
