A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified and registered Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist educational setting supporting children and young people with hearing impairments and additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term permanent position based in the LS23 area.

Position Details:

  • Role: Speech & Language Therapist

  • Location: LS23 area (easily accessible from Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate)

  • Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Salary: Dependent on experience

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and group speech and language therapy interventions

  • Assessing, planning, and reviewing therapy needs using evidence-based approaches

  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and families to create communication-friendly environments

  • Contributing to EHCP reports and goal setting for pupils

  • Providing training and support for school staff on communication strategies

  • Supporting AAC, visual aids, and inclusive practices to empower learners

Ideal Requirements:

  • HCPC registration and recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with hearing impairments, autism, or complex SEN

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence using therapeutic assessments, targets, and progress evaluations

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in educational settings
