Sales Director - Structural Steel Projects
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and grow our business development function in the hot rolled structural steel sector, with a particular focus on delivering high-value projects into Tier 1 contractors across the UK.
This is a senior, strategic role where you will be responsible for shaping our sales strategy, developing major accounts, and driving revenue growth. You'll bring strong relationships within the main contracting sector, a deep understanding of steel structures, and a proven track record of winning complex, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting Tier 1 contractors and large developers.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Identify, bid, and secure opportunities for major hot rolled steel projects.
- Lead the sales pipeline from enquiry through to contract close, ensuring profitability and commercial alignment.
- Collaborate with estimating, design, and delivery teams to ensure seamless client experience.
- Provide leadership to the sales/business development team, setting KPIs and driving performance.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client presentations.
About You
- Proven experience in sales leadership within the construction / steel structures / offsite manufacturing sector.
- Strong network of contacts within Tier 1 contractors.
- In-depth technical and commercial understanding of hot rolled steel projects.
- Track record of securing multi-million-pound contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven, hands-on approach.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.

- Base salary 90k - 110k (DOE).
