Multi-Trade Operative – Social Housing (Permanent Role)

Agency: North Yorkshire – working for a national contractor on behalf of a social housing provider

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy social housing maintenance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with great benefits, working on behalf of a respected housing provider.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out a range of repairs and maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, joinery, plastering, tiling, and decorating
  • Respond to reactive and planned maintenance jobs
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and housing staff
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in multiple trades, ideally within a social housing or domestic repairs environment
  • NVQ or equivalent qualifications in one or more relevant trades (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
