Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of a Leeds based manufacturer to recruit a Production Operative to work in their laser and fabrication department. 

Role: Production OperativeSalary: £25,979 (£12.79 per hour) Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 13:00 – 23:30 Location: Leeds

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting laser operators with daily tasks
  • Picking and preparing materials for production
  • Loading and unloading machines
  • Performing quality and quantity checks
  • Packing and labelling products
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Keeping the factory floor clean and hazard-free
  • Working to production schedules and deadlines
  • Operating forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment (once trained)
  • Reporting any issues or near misses to the Team Leader
  • Being flexible to support overtime and shift changes when needed

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident, proactive, and motivated approach to work
  • Good attention to detail and a methodical mindset
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Comfortable with manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 quality standards is a bonus
