Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing various tasks related to inventory control, shipping, and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts safely for moving heavy items within the warehouse.
- Assist in materials handling, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of products.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with picking and packing processes is desirable.
- A valid forklift license is required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift is essential.
