We are hiring for a Warehouse Operative who is experienced in working within a trade-focused distribution environment in Leeds. This is a busy, structured warehouse supporting a national electrical wholesaler, and you will be responsible for coordinating inter-branch collections at the back door as part of the wider warehouse team.

Duties of a Warehouse Operative

In this role, you will be working in the Warehouse & Logistics team to ensure effective management of goods movement and inter-branch coordination. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing branch-to-branch collections and deliveries at the back door

  • Receiving goods, checking against delivery notes, and updating records

  • Preparing orders for dispatch and organising outgoing stock

  • Maintaining a tidy and safe warehouse environment

  • Supporting general warehouse duties including loading/unloading and stock handling

Skills and Experience of a Warehouse Operative

As a Warehouse Operative, you need to have experience with:

  • Warehouse operations and goods receiving/dispatch

  • Working within a trade or distribution-based warehouse setting

It would be beneficial to the Warehouse Operative role if you also had:

  • A valid counterbalance forklift truck licence

  • Knowledge of electrical or industrial products

  • Experience using stock management or logistics software
