Mobile Water Treatment + Plumbing Technician
Location: North of England - covering areas such as Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Hull, Liverpool, and surrounding regions

Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £28,000 - £37,000 (dependent on skills and experience) + company vehicle + benefits
About the Role
A new opportunity is available for an experienced Mobile Water Treatment Technician to join a dynamic technical services team. This role is mobile and field-based, providing a variety of water hygiene and compliance services across multiple client sites in the North of England. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of water hygiene and treatment tasks, including:
- Temperature monitoring and water sampling
- Showerhead descales and TMV servicing
- Cold water storage tank inspections and cleans
- Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection
- Dosing with inhibitors and biocides
- LTHW and cooling system testing and analysis
- Softener maintenance and minor plumbing remedial works
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive tasks as required
- Maintain accurate records and update on-site logbooks in line with relevant legislation
- Use mobile technology for reporting and job tracking
- Travel across multiple locations, with occasional overnight stays where required
Required Skills and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification)
- Proven experience in water treatment, hygiene, or technical compliance services
- Solid understanding of:
- ACOP L8, HSG274 Parts 1-3
- BS8580-1:2019 Risk Assessments (advantageous)
- Water Supply Regulations and industry best practice
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Full, valid UK Driving Licence
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check (including Barred Lists)
