West Yorkshire Combined Authority are seeking a Web Content Coordinator to support the delivery of the organisation's website redevelopment project. This role is crucial in enhancing the profile of the Mayor of West Yorkshire, the Combined Authority, and its various activities and objectives. The ideal candidate will be skilled in producing and updating web content to meet SEO and accessibility standards and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support the comprehensive redevelopment of the organisation’s website to enhance its digital presence.
- Produce and regularly update web content, ensuring compliance with SEO and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate closely with media, marketing, communications, and policy teams to ensure that project plans are effectively implemented.
- Assist in the migration of web content across digital platforms, including building templates and pages using content management systems.
- Maintain high standards of proofreading across various digital publications including marketing landing pages, blogs, and news articles.
- Conduct user testing and peer reviews to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the redeveloped websites.
- Liaise with external suppliers such as marketing, creative, and digital agencies to facilitate project requirements.
- Manage user updates and interactions on websites using content management systems.
- Proven experience in web content production and management.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and web accessibility guidelines.
- Experience working with content management systems.
- Excellent proofreading and editorial skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage external supplier relationships.
- Experience in conducting user testing and handling feedback.
