We are looking for a diligent Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in North Staffordshire.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a food manufacturing environment and possess a recognized engineering qualification (minimum Level 3).
Key responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on production machinery, as well as ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
The salary for this position is up to £55,000 per annum, with additional benefits such as a matched company contribution pension and subsidized staff canteen.

We are searching for a diligent Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in North Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on our production machinery.

Description

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with the schedule and undertake emergency breakdown repairs
Following up tasks from PPM and order any spare parts required
Ensuring compliance to Health and safety/food safety standards at all times
Carrying out dynamic risk assessments in line with your daily tasks
Maintaining and improving standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the engineering office and workshop
Ensuring production lines are running in optimum condition
Assisting in the installation of new equipment to the site
Use and maintenance of the Mainsaver CMMS system
Development and upskilling where applicable
Providing both Reactive & PPM
Working on a Variety of Kit Including Cheese cutting equipment (Block/portion/Sliced/Grated), Conveyors, Multihead Weighers, Packaging Equipment & Metal detectors
Ensuring that equipment is set up and ready for shift start

4 on 4 off (2 Days 2 Nights) - 12 Hours

Profile

You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer/Technician, with experience working in a food manufacturing environment, as well as:

Recognised Engineering qualification (Minimum Level 3)
Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair faults on a variety of machinery.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work well in a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
A commitment to safety and quality.
