We are currently seeking a dedicated Homeless Officer to join our Property team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving the community and helping to provide solutions for those in need.

Description
- Conduct assessments of homelessness applications in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act.
- Provide advice and assistance to individuals and families regarding housing options.
- Work closely with local agencies and partners to provide holistic support to individuals in need.
- Manage a caseload of homelessness applications and reviews.
- Prepare written reports and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure all actions are in compliance with statutory obligations.
- Work as part of the Property team to deliver a high-quality service.
- Participate in out-of-hours duty rota as required.
Profile
A successful Homeless Officer should have:
- A strong understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant housing legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and work under pressure.
- Experience working within the public sector, particularly in housing or a related field.
- A solution-focused approach and the ability to think creatively to resolve complex situations.
