An established accountancy firm in Leicester is seeking a Senior Accounts & Tax Specialist to join their growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a diverse client base, providing comprehensive accounting and tax services.

Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Mon-Fri

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate and personal tax returns, VAT returns, and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.

  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, identifying opportunities for tax efficiency and business growth.

  • Preparation of business tax computations and corporation tax computations.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for financial and tax-related matters.

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance to support their professional development.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a practice environment.

  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
