Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf a well-established, values-led FMCH business in Leicester. Reporting to the CFO, you'll be a senior figure within the finance leadership team - championing consistency, robust governance, and high-quality reporting across the division. Your remit will span financial control, capital and cashflow management, and leading a team of finance professionals.
You'll act as the senior finance point of contact across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring accuracy, insight, and challenge are embedded into the day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Leading financial governance across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

Managing month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations

Driving improvements in working capital and cashflow across the division

Overseeing internal and external audit processes and ensuring compliance with Group accounting standards

Leading Monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting and providing financial visibility across all sites

Overseeing capital project governance and fixed asset reporting
-
Managing and developing a team of qualified accountants and project finance specialists
The Ideal Candidate:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with post-qualification experience

Background in a senior finance role within FMCG or food manufacturing is essential

Strong understanding of financial control, audit, and cashflow management

Experience with capital governance and leading cross-site reporting processes

Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
