- You're a recent Finance/Accounting graduate with approximately 1 year of practical experience, eager to build upon your foundational knowledge.
- You're nearing completion of your AAT qualification and are ready to take the exciting leap into ACCA or CIMA studies.
- You're driven, keen to learn, and possess a strong desire to progress within a fast-paced commercial setting.
What you'll be doing:
As the Assistant Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the finance function across a range of activities, including:
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
- Reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
- Processing invoices and expenses.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assisting with financial analysis and reporting.
- Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.
- Ad-hoc finance duties as required to support the team.
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field OR nearing completion of AAT.
- Approximately 1 year of experience in a finance role (desirable for graduates).
- A strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
