Based at their Leicester manufacturing facility, this is a high-impact role within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team. As a Product Design Engineer, you’ll lead the development of innovative injection moulded plastic packaging solutions, taking products from concept to industrialisation.

You’ll collaborate across a global matrix, working with colleagues in the UK, Europe, US, Asia. While this position has no direct reports, it requires confident leadership and close coordination with design, tooling, manufacturing, and innovation teams to ensure successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities: What We’re Looking For:

Seeking a Product Design Engineer with strong experience in plastic injection moulding, mechanical design, or packaging development. You’ll be part of a team that takes sustainability seriously—where your engineering solutions can contribute to a reduced environmental footprint.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline
  • Solid experience in product design and development, preferably within the plastic packaging industry
  • Thermoplastic injection moulding design experience
  • Ideally more than 5 years of experience
  • Strong background in product validation, testing, and quality processes
  • Proficiency with CAD software
  • Experience working with suppliers, procurement, and cross-functional project teams
  • Knowledge of FMEA/QFD, DFM and DFA tools
