Pre-Sales Application Consultant – Empower Customers with Smart Solutions

Location: Hybrid (Home-based with occasional travel to Leicester HQ, UK & Europe)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We’re looking for a Pre-Sales Application Consultant to join our Consultancy and Sales Support team, working closely with customers and distributors to showcase our software solutions and ensure a seamless transition from prospect to implementation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, business analysis, and presentation skills — helping clients understand how our applications can deliver measurable value to their business.

What You’ll Do

As a Pre-Sales Application Consultant, you will be the technical and functional expert supporting the sales process. You will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our software applications and how they meet the needs of customers across multiple industries.

  • Partner with the Sales and Consultancy teams to deliver engaging product demonstrations, presentations, and proofs of concept tailored to customer requirements.

  • Work directly with prospects to understand their business processes, challenges, and goals, and translate these into relevant software solutions.

  • Collaborate with customers to document requirements and align proposed solutions with their strategic objectives.

  • Prepare detailed proposal documents, system specifications, and supporting materials for tenders and RFPs.

  • Support the transition from pre-sales to implementation, ensuring customer expectations are clearly defined and achievable.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape, product developments, and market trends to position our solutions effectively.

  • Assist with training internal teams on new product functionality and best practices for customer engagement.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines technical curiosity with strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience in the apparel/fashion industry or related commercial environments.

  • A solid understanding of ERP, PLM, or other business application software.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills — confident in front of both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating environments.

  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive as part of a collaborative team.

  • (Desirable) Experience supporting or delivering software demonstrations or implementations.

  • (Desirable) A background in Accounting or understanding of business financial processes.
