We are hiring for an Energy Sales Manager based in Leicester to lead a team covering both SME and corporate markets. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on training, process improvement, and fostering a high-performance culture. While you won't have personal sales targets, your goal will be to enable your team's success and drive strategic results.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will manage an established group of sales agents and lead generators. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading from the front – coaching, mentoring, and motivating a B2B sales team
  • Running regular 1-to-1s, setting KPIs, and delivering actionable feedback
  • Overseeing the sales process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a smooth client journey
  • Reporting on performance trends and identifying areas for improvement
  • Supporting hiring, onboarding, and early-stage development of new staff
  • Cultivating a collaborative, energetic, and results-driven team environment

About You

You're an experienced sales leader who knows how to get the best out of people. You thrive in commercial environments and have a solid grasp of the energy sales lifecycle.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience managing B2B sales teams within the energy sector
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Knowledge of sales processes for both SMEs and larger corporates
  • Confidence in using CRM systems and performance data
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience improving or implementing new sales processes
  • A full UK driving licence
