HGV Class 2 POD / Mixer Driver – Croft
£16 - £17 per hour + Overtime (Time & Half Saturdays)
Temp to Perm – Immediate Start (in 2 weeks)
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 POD/Mixer Driver to join their team based in Croft.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in buildingmaterials on a brand-new contract, with the potential to go permanent and progress as the site grows.
FULL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED AND NEW PASS DRIVERS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY TO GAIN EXPERIENCE AND GROW WITH THE COMPANY.
The Role:
- Operating a Class 2 POD Mixer vehicle
- Starting at 07:00, finishing around 16:00 (average 8-hour day)
- Completing 2 loads per day of mortar delivery (This could vary)
- Batching off the POD using computerised systems (full training provided)
- Reversing the POD under the plant for loading/unloading
- Separating mortar into 4–5 compartments
- Using the triangle method to check product consistency
- Ensuring safe, efficient, and high quality delivery at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC, and Digi Tacho Card
- Previous experience driving mixer or POD vehicles preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to learn batching and product quality checks
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused attitude
Pay & Benefits
- £16-£17 per hour (negotiable for the right candidate)
- Time and a half on Saturdays
- Temp to Perm after successful trial period
