Purpose of the Role


To support the paint shop by managing powder coating stock, ensuring accurate preparation of materials, and assisting in the smooth flow of production. This role involves stock control, weighing and issuing powders, preparing screws and touch-ups, and assisting with general paint track operations. You will also record data using MS Excel.


Key Responsibilities


* Work to a daily list, ensuring all required powders and hanging fasteners (screws) are available for production.
* Operate a powder stock system: booking in/out, weighing, and adjusting stock levels as required.
* Check powder quantities in kilograms against job meterage; order additional stock where necessary.
* Prepare and issue screws as per production lists.
* Take and prepare touch-up samples for use on finished products.
* Supply sprayers with the correct powder stock in a timely manner.
* Collate painted screws with their corresponding touch-ups and deliver them to assembly personnel.
* Assist on the paint track and complete any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
* Maintain accurate stock records and update systems (e.g., Excel) with daily usage, stock in/out, and metrics.

Skills & Experience


* Experience in a paint shop, powder coating, or stock control environment desirable but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured daily tasks.
* Good numerical skills for weighing and recording stock.
* Basic computer literacy (Excel, stock systems).
* Team player with a flexible approach to assisting in different areas of the department.
