Job Title: Sales Manager
Salary: Up to £50K
Location: Leicester - LE1
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45am-5pm

As part of their continued growth and expansion, they are searching for a dynamic and people-focused Sales Manager to lead their SME and corporate sales and lead generation team, you will play a key role in driving performance and increasing market presence.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Sales Manager:

  • Hands-On Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor, engage directly with sales agents and clients to drive development, improve communication, and strengthen rapport with key stakeholders, working across SME and corporate energy markets.
  • Performance Development: Conduct regular 1-to-1s, set clear KPIs, and support team members with training, feedback, and development plans.
  • Process Oversight: Monitor sales processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with all internal departments to ensure sales handovers are smooth and clients receive an excellent service.
  • Reporting & Insights: Provide performance updates to senior leadership, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Onboarding: Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new sales agents and lead generators, ensuring they are set up for success.
  • Culture & Motivation: Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing team culture.


Experience/knowledge requirements for the Sales Manager:

  • Proven experience managing a B2B sales team ideally within the energy, utilities or consultancy space
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on people development.
  • A clear understanding of energy sales processes for both SME and larger corporate clients.
  • Ability to implement and improve sales systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • A full driving license is required as your role will involve visiting clients
