Our client, a growing energy consultancy, is looking for a people-focused Sales Manager to lead a team of 7 focused on SME and corporate sales and lead generation. As the Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving team performance and supporting the continued growth of their market presence. While you won’t have individual sales targets, your focus will be on coaching, developing, and building the structureand processes needed for your team to thrive. Key responsibilities for the Sales Manager:

  • Lead and support a team of SME and corporate sales agents, engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to drive performance and relationships
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, set KPIs, and provide coaching, feedback, and development plans
  • Oversee sales processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handovers and excellent client service
  • Report on team performance, highlighting trends, opportunities, and improvements
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Create a positive, motivated team culture focused on growth and success

Skills and Experience required for the Sales Manager:

  • Proven background in leading B2B sales teams, ideally in energy, utilities, or consultancy
  • Strong leadership with a focus on coaching and developing people
  • Solid understanding of SME and corporate energy sales processes
  • Confident improving and implementing sales systems and workflows
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and performance data to guide decisions
  • Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Full clean drivers license
