Job Title: Civil or Senior EngineerLocation: LeicesterSalary: £45,000 – £55,000 (Dependent on Experience and Level)Role SummaryA growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Leicester is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding team. With 18 staff in Leicester and a further 20 in their Birmingham office, the company is looking for a driven and ambitious engineer to support and lead infrastructure design projects – particularly within the residential and commercial sectors.Key Benefits

Main ResponsibilitiesThe role offers a balanced mix of technical and leadership responsibilities, including:
  • Infrastructure Design – Producing detailed designs for roads, drainage systems, and earthworks using software such as MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Technical Approvals – Managing Section 38 and Section 278 technical approval processes with local authorities.
  • Team Management – Leading and mentoring junior engineers to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
  • Planning and Compliance – Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies, and liaising with regulatory bodies on planning and environmental matters.
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Professional Qualifications – Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it, with membership of relevant institutions such as MICE, CIWEM, or CMIHT.
  • Relevant Experience – A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within residential development and infrastructure design.
