Learning and Development Partner - Logistics Distribution and Supply chain - Leicester
One of my favourite areas to recruit in the world of HR is Learning and Development - Why?
If a business is looking to invest in an employee's training and development, then I think it shows a people led culture and a business that cares.
I also think that breeds high performance and opportunity - who wouldn't want that?!
I am currently partnering with a 3PL giant, a huge brand in the logistics world and a company that not only grows by acquisitions but by organic growth and as a result of their successes.
They are looking for a Learning and Development Partner to join them on a permanent basis supporting a business unit of around 1000 employees in the East Midlands.
This isn't a 'tick box' position, this requires someone who is comfortable having feet on the ground but who also has a commercial and strategic mindset and capability to understand the needs and wants of a business unit.
What will you be doing?
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and members of the SLT
- Head up a learning needs analysis to ensure you understand all needs and wants of the employees
- Creating interesting training's programmes on both technical and soft skills needs
- Management of the LMS and e-learning platform
- Roll out various strategic L&D projects including developing new programme slues and management coaching
What do they need from you?
Now this is an established role and although they are happy seeing someone step up they do need to see the following -
- 3-5 year's experience in an L&D position
- Industry experience with logistics distribution and supply chain, manufacturing or a similar strong blue-collar organisation
- Able to support a large business unit off your own accord with limited hand-holding
- Personable, professional approach and the ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to commute in and around the Leicester area
If you are interested and meet all the requirements please do apply - I look forwards to speaking to you.
