Location: Leicester (LE2)
Shift: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
Pay Rate: 15.00 to 18.00 per hour DOE

About the Role
Our client is a creative design and manufacturing business specialising in bespoke retail environments, furniture and interior installations for well-known UK brands. From concept through to completion, the business manages every stage in-house, combining design, engineering and craftsmanship to deliver high-quality, innovative retail solutions.
They are looking for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join the workshop team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled craftsperson to be part of a forward-thinking company that values quality, teamwork and pride in the finished product.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, assemble and finish bespoke retail furniture and display units from technical drawings and specifications
- Operate a wide range of woodworking machinery and hand tools, including saws, routers, planers and sanders
- Work with materials such as hardwood, MDF, laminates and solid surfaces
- Ensure a high-quality finish on all joinery work, maintaining attention to detail and craftsmanship standards
- Collaborate with designers, project managers and other joiners to ensure accurate interpretation of drawings and timely completion of projects
- Participate in assembly and fitting of units within the workshop, with occasional support for on-site installations
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and production efficiency
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or similar role within a manufacturing or shopfitting environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists
- Competent in the safe use of woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
- High level of craftsmanship, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Commitment to maintaining quality standards and safe working practices
- Full UK Driving Licence (beneficial but not essential)
