Role: PLC Control Systems Engineer
Location: Remote role with travel across the UK & Northern Ireland
Salary: Depending on experience
We are recruiting for a new client who are growing rapidly with two highly experienced and well-networked Directors leading the company. Our client specialise in bespoke control panels for customers across a variety of sectors, particularly focusing using upon conveyors.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a PLC Controls Engineer to join a forward-thinking company with great ambition and you can play a key role in their journey. You'll be instrumental in programming, commissioning, and delivering automation systems to the a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and develop PLC software (Siemens TIA Portal desirable)
- SCADA and HMI experience needed
- Troubleshoot, test and commission PLC systems both off-site and on-site
- Support the configuration and commissioning of automation/control devices
- Modify existing programs per client or site specifications
- Participate in the on-site commissioning of electrical and electronic systems
What We’re Looking For:
- It is a remote role with travel required to clients so you need to be responsible, trustworthy and able to work under little supervision and be able to meet deadlines
- Strong experience in PLC programming and experience on working on conveyors
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in the logistics, packaging and airport industries would be an advantage, but not essential
- Familiarity with electrical control panels and process automation
- Experience with automation & process control equipment
