Rise10 Recruitment are on the lookout for an experienced Installation Electrician with a strong background in automation systems to join a busy and forward-thinking engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across multiple industries including automotive, aerospace, and logistics, delivering cutting-edge control system solutions.
The Role of an Installation Electrician:
You will be responsible for the installation and wiring of control systems at customer sites and in-house, with occasional support for control panel builds when installation work is not active. The work will require some travel, occasional weekend work, and overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities of an Installation Electrician:
- Install control panels, mains distribution, 24V DC systems, communication cables, cable containment, motors, sensors, and remote I/O nodes.
- Terminate field cables within control panels and ensure accurate installation.
- Support panel wiring activities in the workshop during non-installation periods.
- Read and work from CAD electrical drawings.
- Collaborate with electrical designers to build panels incorporating PLCs, CNCs, servo drives, and inverter motor controllers.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols on-site and in-house.
- Deliver high standards of workmanship with minimal supervision.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in an Installation Electrician role or similar position (electrical installation & panel building).
- Previous work in automated environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with PLC-based systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Safety-conscious and experienced in adhering to site protocols.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to travel/stay overnight as required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
