Due to continued expansion and investment, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. Specialising in precision forgings for the Aerospace and Defence sectors, the company has experienced significant growth and investment and is looking to further strengthen its engineering capability. Candidates are sought with strong knowledge of forging processes to play a key role in the development and improvement of manufacturing solutions.

The Role

Develop, implement and enhance manufacturing processes to support production efficiency and quality.

Provide technical expertise in forging methods across the business.

Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.

Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to production.

Identify and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.

Monitor production processes to ensure conformity to customer requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and supply chain.

The Person

A good understanding in forging processes.

Experience working in a complex and highly regulated sector (Aerospace, Defence, Energy, etc).

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Proven track record of process optimisation and identifying automation opportunities.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and drive change effectively.
