Credit Manager Full Time, Permanent South Leicester Salary - c.£50,000SF Recruitment are partnering exclusively with a brilliant business in South Leicestershire in their search for a Credit Manager to join their expanding organisation. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with a brilliant working environment. They are seeking a Credit Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The Credit Manager will report into a supportive CFO. As the Credit Manager you will be directly responsible for manging a UK Credit team and supporting/coaching all credit related team members overseas on an ad hoc basis, as well as overall responsibility for credit control matters in all subsidiaries including responsibility for credit relationship management with strategic group customers. A look into the role - Management - Oversee all aspects of the group credit function both directly and indirectly, and therefore being first point of escalation for all credit issues. - Full responsibility for performance, development and operational effectiveness of the UK Credit Management function. - Support, develop and coach the UK credit team. - Management responsibility for the UK based credit team Policies and procedures - Continue to develop credit policies giving guidance to ensure understanding and compliance - Ensure that systems and procedures are in place to fast track invoice queries efficiently to ensure they are dealt within a prompt manner. Credit Risk Management - Responsible for overall co-ordination of the credit policy. Including making sure that the policy is renewed or transferred (supported by CFO), and that all appropriate declarations and disclosures are made. - Mitigate loss though credit risk assessments, financial data review, insurance cover, underwriting limits and account management. Reporting - Responsible for cash receipt forecasts and setting collection - Responsible for providing a consolidated trade debtors review on a monthly basis, outlining aged debts, insurance profiles, provisions and relevant commentary. - To control and regularly review provisions for debit notes, rebates and bad and doubtful debts - Drive through process improvements to ensure that the company enhances its "responsive reputation" with its customers. - To ensure that a uniform approach on credit management information is maintained within the ERP system; - Attend KPI meetings and Senior Management/Board Meetings to discuss debtor day performance and "high risk" customers. Collection Management - To oversee any litigation relating to overdue debts and being the first point of contract. - Appointing and effective management of 3rd party Debt Collection Agencies (supported by CFO). - To bring to management attention areas of concern relating to outstanding debts or matters of credit risk. - To ensure that ledgers in all subsidiaries are maintained and that reports are regularly generated and reviewed. What about you - A minimum 5 years' in credit control (3 years in a supervisor/managerial position) - CICM qualified or studying towards this. - Day to day operation of credit control processes and managing credit limits - Advanced collection techniques - People Management experience, setting objectives and staff appraisals etc - Excellent IT skills, ideally having experience of an ERP system plus excel and word.
