We are proud to be partnering with a public sector body to recruit for two Finance Business Partners at a pivotal time for the organisation's strategic development. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic finance team, supporting high-value services and helping shape the future of financial planning and decision-making.

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a vital role in enabling the organisation to deliver its priorities through effective financial analysis, planning, and advice. This role is an ideal fit for a qualified finance professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for making a tangible impact.

You’ll work closely with operational leaders and senior managers to ensure strategic decisions are underpinned by high-quality financial insight. You’ll also support the delivery of the medium-term financial strategy and play a key role in transformation projects across key service areas.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering insightful, timely, and accurate financial analysis and reporting to support service planning and decision-making
  • Leading financial input into transformation initiatives and efficiency reviews
  • Developing and maintaining effective business partnering relationships with operational managers and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of the medium-term financial strategy
  • Enhancing financial governance, control, and internal processes across departments
  • Coaching and developing financial and non-financial staff in financial management best practices
  • Line managing finance colleagues and contributing to a culture of service excellence
  • Supporting the year-end accounts closure process and statutory financial returns

These two Finance Business Partner roles will be based in Leicester and will offer incredibly flexible working arrangements with one office visit a week required. Please note these vacancies can also be offered on a part-time basis. We’re seeking a professional who:

  • Is a fully qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent)
  • Has demonstrable experience working in a business partnering or strategic finance role, ideally within the public or regulated sector
  • Brings strong technical knowledge in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Can communicate complex financial information to non-specialist audiences with clarity and impact
  • Has experience driving financial improvement and supporting operational change
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and can influence senior stakeholders
  • Is motivated to support the delivery of high-quality public services through sound financial planning
