Compliance Solicitor - 5+ Years PQE
Location: Leicester

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Compliance Solicitor to join their team. This role is ideal for a qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE who has fee-earning experience but is looking to move away from client-facing work into a compliance-focused position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing files, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and managing the compliance aspects of the firm's consultancy programme. This is a crucial role, supporting the smooth operation of the firm while maintaining high standards of professional and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing legal files to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

• Monitoring and maintaining compliance standards across the firm

• Supporting the firm's consultancy programme from a compliance perspective

• Advising on compliance-related matters and providing guidance to fee earners

• Identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks

• Developing and maintaining systems and processes to support regulatory adherence

About You:

• Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE and previous fee-earning experience

• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Excellent communicator, capable of advising colleagues in a clear and practical manner

• Proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently

• Comfortable working in a structured compliance environment rather than fee-earning
