Job Title: Airfreight OperatorLocation: Broughton Astley, LeicesterHours: Full-time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 per annum DOE

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Receive and process airfreight bookings, providing quotes in line with customer requirements
- Book collections and arrange appropriate transport solutions including airfreight and courier services
- Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations
- Monitor deliveries and provide updates to clients and internal teams
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and agents to ensure smooth freight movements
- Complete associated administrative tasks and support operations processes
- Handle basic accounting functions related to freight jobs
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Report and resolve issues as required to maintain service quality
Essential Skills:
Full UK driving licence (due to location)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn and retain complex procedures and regulations
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and reliable work approach
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Accurate data entry skills
- Positive attitude with a proactive mindset
- Honest, with strong work ethics
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience within airfreight or freight forwarding
- Knowledge of customs clearance procedures
- Familiarity with logistics software or freight management systemsÂ
