An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established manufacturer seeking a reliable and experienced Dispatch & Goods In Operative to join their growing team. This is a day shift role offering stability, a supportive team environment, and the chance to contribute to a business known for its commitment to quality and efficiency.

About the Role:

You’ll play a key part in ensuring products are packed, shipped, and received accurately and on time. The role also involves liaising with transport providers, supporting inbound goods handling, and assisting with basic logistics administration. A valid FLT licence is preferred, and basic computer skills are desirable to help with job tracking and transport bookings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check and prepare job packs for outgoing shipments

  • Conduct quality and quantity inspections prior to dispatch

  • Pack and label goods in line with customer specifications

  • Organise collections and deliveries with transport companies

  • Load/unload goods using a forklift (licence preferred)

  • Support the goods-in process by checking and receiving deliveries

  • Maintain accurate stock movement records

  • Ensure warehouse and dispatch areas are kept tidy and accessible

  • Communicate with suppliers and customers as required

  • Troubleshoot delivery or stock issues and escalate where needed

  • Maintain equipment and perform daily FLT safety checks

  • Work collaboratively to meet daily and weekly output targets

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or dispatch role

  • Comfortable using a PC (basic Microsoft Office; training on internal systems provided)

  • Forklift licence (desirable)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Confident communicator and problem-solver

  • Organised and proactive with a team-oriented mindset

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
