Responsibilities - Fire Alarm Design Engineer
As a Design/Estimating Engineer, your role will include:
- Producing compliant fire alarm system designs and proposals in line with BS 5839 and other regulations
- Working with business development and project teams to cost and present tailored solutions
- Liaising with M&E contractors, end users, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to standard and on time
- Managing multiple design projects and enquiries simultaneously
- Providing technical guidance, support, and mentorship within the design team
- Preparing project handover documentation and maintaining design records
Requirements - Fire Alarm Design Engineer
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Design or Estimating Engineer
- Strong technical knowledge of fire detection systems (Gent, Hochiki, Advanced, Ziton)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and producing accurate, compliant drawings
- FIA Design Qualification (or equivalent) desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, relationship-driven approach with strong teamwork and customer focus
