A long-established HR consultancy is seeking a confident and experienced HR Consultant to join their growing team, delivering hands-on HR and employee relations support to a broad portfolio of SME clients across the UK.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment and is confident managing complex ER cases while providing practical and commercial advice. No two days will be the same, and you'll work closely with a wide range of businesses, helping them align their HR operations to business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert HR and ER advice across disciplinary, grievance, absence, redundancy, and TUPE matters
- Draft and review contracts, policies, and procedures
- Conduct HR audits and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and ensuring compliance
- Contribute to strategic people planning and provide commercially focused HR solutions
- Travel to client sites across the UK as needed (occasional overnight stays)
- Participate in an out-of-hours advice line on a rota basis
About You:
- Significant HR generalist experience with strong ER knowledge
- Comfortable working in a client-facing or consultancy environment
- Able to work autonomously, juggle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
