Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Team Leader to support a small but growing conveyancing department based in Leicester. This role involves managing and mentoring one paralegal while contributing to the smooth running and continued development of the team.
You will play a key part in ensuring high-quality client service, efficient workflow management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional looking to take the next step into leadership within an expanding and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to one paralegal.
Assist in managing the wider conveyancing team's workload and ensuring deadlines are met.
Conduct file reviews and offer technical support on conveyancing matters.
Promote best practice and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Support the onboarding and development of new team members as the department grows.
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on excellent service delivery.
Conveyancing Work
Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
Ensure all files progress efficiently, managing key milestones and providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties to maintain high levels of client care.
Prepare and review legal documents, reports, and enquiries.
Operational & Administrative Support
Contribute to workflow improvements and help implement new processes as the team grows.
Monitor performance metrics and team output where required.
Assist in resolving escalated queries from clients or referrers.
Ensure compliance with firm policies and conveyancing regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
Significant experience within residential conveyancing handling a full caseload.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication and client care skills.
Proven ability to support junior staff and contribute to team success.
Confidence in using conveyancing case management systems and Microsoft Office.
