A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a growing consultancy in Leicester. If you have at least four years of infrastructure design experience and enjoy taking ownership of detailed design work, this role offers the progression, flexibility and technical variety to help you take the next step in your career.
As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key part in delivering highways, drainage and earthworks design across residential and commercial projects throughout Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands. You will work closely with an Associate who will support your technical development and guide your progression toward Senior Engineer or chartered status. The role offers genuine hybrid working, giving you the flexibility to balance office collaboration with productive home based work.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed designs, drawings and calculations for highways, drainage and infrastructure.
Deliver technical work aligned with S278, S38 and S104 adoption standards.
Support projects from early feasibility through to detailed design and approvals.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and local authorities to ensure smooth delivery.
Contribute to planning support, design statements and technical submissions.
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum four years' UK consultancy experience in infrastructure design.
Skilled in AutoCAD and Civils 3D or Site 3D, with drainage modelling experience.
Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets and adoption processes.
Strong communication and problem solving skills.
