Employment Solicitor (NQ – 3 PQE)Location: LeicesterSalary: Up to circa £55,000 (DOE)I'm working in partnership with a well-established national firm that’s looking to strengthen its employment offering in Leicester. The team is known for its approachable culture, quality of work, and strong client relationships — and they're now seeking an ambitious Employment Solicitor at NQ to 3 years' PQE to join their growing department.This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment, with real scope for progression and client contact from day one.The Role:You’ll work closely with experienced senior colleagues on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The work is varied, intellectually stimulating and offers regular exposure to a mix of clients, from SMEs to larger corporates and public sector bodies.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Advising clients on a broad spectrum of employment issues including contracts, grievances, disciplinary procedures, redundancies, TUPE and tribunals.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
  • Supporting on Employment Tribunal claims – drafting pleadings, preparing bundles and attending hearings where appropriate.
  • Assisting with corporate support work, including due diligence on employment aspects of transactions.
  • Contributing to client training, seminars, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensuring files are managed in line with internal procedures and compliance requirements.
About You:
  • You’ll be a qualified solicitor (or due to qualify shortly), with up to 3 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, gained from a reputable firm or in-house team.
  • A strong interest in employment law and a desire to build long-term client relationships.
  • Confident, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a client-facing role.
  • Keen to learn, take on responsibility and be part of a growing team.
