Macilowie Procurement, Supply Chain & LogisticsProcurement Contracts Manager - Up to £65,000 Per Annum - LeicesterMonday - Friday, 8am - 4pm - Hybrid Working AvailableMacildowie Procurement has partnered with a manufacturing business in Leicester to recruit a Procurement Contracts Manager.The key objective is to collaborate with stakeholders cross functionally from procurement to legal, mitigating risk in supplier contracts and spearhead the creation of contracts, contract reviews, and contract negotiation.Main Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of supplier contracts for raw materials, assemblies, fabricated parts, logistics, transportation, consultancy and IT.
- Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Identify, assess and mitigate any potential legal and compliance risks associated with procurement and contract management.
- Contributing to the entire procurement process, from identifying and adopting best practice in selecting suppliers and managing supplier relationships.
- Managing contract costs ensuring commercial profitability for the business.
- Delivering key KPI's with suppliers, whilst managing underperforming suppliers.
- Provide procurement advice and expertise on contract terms and conditions.
- Support with the development and implementation of effective procurement strategies and processes that include supplier evaluations, tendering, bidding processes and contract award evaluations.
- Confirm that all completed and part-completed contracts are archived and available for assessment.
- Embedding a continuous improvement approach with stakeholders.
- Assess compliance with all relevant procurement regulations, including EU procurement directives and UK public sector procurement regulations.
The Candidate
- Previous experience operating in a Procurement Manager, Contract Manager or similar.
- A strong understanding of contract legalities and SLA's.
- Degree in Law, Business, or a related field or equivalent qualification.
- Able to commute to Leicester.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Effective communicator and comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
- Comfortably able to demonstrate strategic contract/supplier management skills.
- CIPS Desirable but not essential.
