We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for my client based in Leicester (LE4 1BF).

Working Hours:
Permanent, day-shift position (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm)

salary: 35,000 per annum.

The company is a well-established engineering manufacturer, and they're looking for a time-served mechanical engineer who's confident maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery - including CNC machines, welding and robot plants, grinders, and hardening equipment.

You'll be hands-on with:

  • Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery

  • Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks

  • Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum

  • As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery

  • PLC fault finding and interrogation

  • Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault

  • Planned preventative maintenance

  • Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines

  • Candidate will be expected to work across all company sites in Leicester

Essential Experience:

  • HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines

  • Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls

  • Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques
