Role Overview
Our client is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team. You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance on new and existing equipment. While a background in food manufacturing is preferred, the client is open to candidates with transferable skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure that all plant, equipment, and site services are maintained and repaired in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, maximizing plant efficiency. You will also help manage the engineering resource and ensure compliance with all current codes of practice, standards, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
路Maintain all equipment and plant to the highest standards.
路React promptly and efficiently to breakdowns.
路Perform PLC fault finding to input and output level.
路Resolve issues highlighted by in-house HACCP audits.
路Respond to out-of-hours calls for breakdowns as required.
路Improve machine reliability through planned preventative maintenance.
路Troubleshoot electrical equipment effectively.
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience with food process machinery, but the client is also happy to consider candidates with transferable skills from other industries.
Essential/Preferred Qualifications:
路BTEC/ONC qualification in an Electrical discipline, or Multi-Skilled Engineering qualification.
路C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro-technical certificate combined with NVQ3 Electrical Maintenance.
路Time-served apprentice.
路HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Maintenance Engineering.
