The Opportunity

We’re looking for two experienced Engineering Managers to join a multi million pound company, with several cities across UK –these roles will be both based at their Midlands site. These are pivotal leadership roles where you’ll shape and drive engineering strategy, ensuring our bakeries run safely, efficiently, and with a focus on continuous improvement.

Must come from a FMGC background
 
As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the entire Engineering function for your site, covering both bakery maintenance and site services, as well as capital projects. You’ll:

Key Responsibilities :
 

  • Provide strategic leadership across engineering, asset care, and site services.
  • Deliver robust maintenance and capital plans to support operational performance and growth.
  • Champion a culture of health, safety and food safety compliance.
  • Manage and develop your engineering teams, ensuring colleagues are skilled, motivated, and set up for success.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reliability, cost control, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support business performance and long-term success.

  •  Degree/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated people management experience.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification (essential).
  • Experience in asset management, maintenance planning, and delivering capital projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • A proactive, collaborative style with the ability to engage and inspire teams.
