Job Title: Senior Site Manager

Thorn Baker has teamed up with a 5-Star, Award Winning Home Builder who is looking for a Pride in the Job winning Site Manager who has experience in Timber frame. They specialise in very high quality / high spec new build housing and are committed to diversity and inclusion, their climate and environment policies being at the forefront of their practice. This is an amazing opportunity to join one of the UK's largest house builders with over 75 years' experience on a brand new timber frame development in North Leicestershire area.

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day running of the development and provide clear direction to those working on the construction site regarding their responsibilities and targets.
- Manage and implement health and safety procedures, working closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers and ensure that that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered too.
- Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff, providing toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support as required to improve performance.

Required Skills:
- Experience of working as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on new build housing sites.
- Experience of effectively managing teams
- Up to date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
- GCSE Maths and English - Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent);Construction Management - HNC Level 4, HND Level 5 or NVQ Level 6 is desirable
- Valid CSCS card at Site Manager level (or equivalent), valid SMSTS certificate, valid First Aid certificate
- Valid Scaffold Appreciation certificate and LOLER certificate are desirable
- Effective communication and listening skills, and good administration skills
- Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
