The Company:
An established Ladies fashion brand, have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join their expanding team.
The Role:
Overseeing the production process
Able to maintain & work with critical path
Planning and monitoring production schedules and altering them when necessary
Working closely with in-house sample room team, quality control departments
Working closely with fabric suppliers , liaising with fabric bulk deliveries
Creating and execute daily, weekly, production schedules
Manages all communication with factories to ensure daily clarity production status update
Work on all required / requested testing on all bulk test reports and approvals
Manage relationship with factory
identify and troubleshoot costing/quality control challenges along with design and resolve with vendors
Ensuring quality is always high standards are maintained across all ranges
Ensuring production is cost effective
Strategically manage vendors to make sure sample deadlines are met
Making sure deliveries are met & are of the highest quality
Estimating costs and setting the quality standards
Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment, ensuring we are always using the safest and best quality for our teams
Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes
Liaising among different departments eg. Design, Merchandising etc.
Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
Supervising and motivating the team
Skills Required:
Experience in a similar role and industry
Be able to manage time and people
Have project management experience
Be able to prepare reports and plan
A good knowledge of the production process
Project management skills
Excellent organisational and planning skills
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A good standard of IT and maths
A creative approach to problem solving
Ability to travel to Manchester
