Home Ownership Officer Required

Contract type: 1 month +

Hours: 35 Hours pw

Location: Leicester 

Pay: £17-£18 ph on an umbrella basis

Venn Group are looking for a Home Ownership Officer for a Housing Charity in Leicester

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that the obligations contained with the leases are fulfilled by both parties.
  • Provide a specialist management service to homeowners.
  • Visit schemes at least annually or as directed by the Home Ownership Manager.
  • Be aware of the specific lease requirements of each scheme and ensure all obligations outlined in the Covenants are met both for the Lessor and Lessee.
  • Ensure annual rent increases and service charges are correctly applied.
  • Ensure any Right to Acquire, Right to Buy or similar applications are processed within Statutory timescales and that all associated queries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Promote positive neighbourhood management in partnership with Housing and Neighbourhood Officers, through joint neighbourhood inspections and consultation with residents.
  • Ensure that legislation is fully complied with. This includes ensuring that statutory S20 consultation for contracts, maintenance improvements and service charges.
  • Liaise with private management companies as they provide a management service for homeowners.
  • Ensure services are delivered as agreed, and that the views of residents are properly represented.
  • Providean effective enquiries and advice service to home ownership customers and ensure that homeowners are clearly advised of their lease obligations and deal with any breaches so that appropriate action is taken.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstratable experience in a similar role
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Basic DBS
  • Own vehicle
