Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Leicester City Centre, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing team. This accountancy practice offers an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to develop their career in a supportive environment.

About the Role - Payroll Officer

As a Payroll Officer within this Leicester City Centre accountancy practice, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients using Sage and Xero software
  • Ensuring compliance with RTI, auto-enrolment and pension regulations
  • Handling PAYE, NIC calculations and year-end reporting
  • Managing client queries and building strong relationships
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and filing submissions
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' payroll experience within an accountancy practice or bureau
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll (Xero experience beneficial)
  • Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple payrolls and meet deadlines
