1:1 Support Role in Primary Alternative Provision

Tradewind are are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our nurturing team within a Primary Alternative Provision setting. This is a unique opportunity to support children on a 1-2-1 basis, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive both emotionally and academically.

About the Role:As a 1:1 Support Worker, you'll work closely with pupils who present with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, providing tailored interventions and consistent, compassionate support. You'll be a key figure in helping them develop positive relationships, emotional regulation skills, and confidence in learning.

Key Responsibilities:* Provide targeted 1:1 support in and outside the classroom* Implement strategies informed by psychological theory and best practice* Build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviour* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals* Track and reflect on progress to inform future support

Ideal Candidate:* A Psychology graduate with a genuine interest in child development and mental health* Experience working with children or young people (in any setting) is advantageous* Resilient, patient, and emotionally intelligent* A team player with a proactive attitude and strong communication skills* Keen to learn and develop professionally
